Join us in welcoming Alexandra Fraser to the Salus family!

Title: IT Business Analyst

Location: Columbus, OH

Salus Contribution: Alexandra has over 15 years of IT experience dealing with databases, reporting and compliance in areas of nonprofits, energy, and county government. Interestingly enough, her college education focused on what many might consider a major unrelated to IT - Art Education. But to Alexandra, data is art. Her favorite thing about working in IT is seeing data as a design.

“Data has specific rules one must follow to gain a clear picture of what it is trying to tell you.” - Alexandra

Throughout college, Alexandra worked as a Bookkeeper and Customer Service Representative. She eventually took a job with the Franklin County Clerk of Courts, then moving to the Purchasing department where she began building databases to track contracts and storage of documents. 8 years later, she transitioned to data compliance with Family Homeless Programs under HUD regulations. She then went on to manage project reporting for American Electric Power, tracking progress updates for over 5,000 projects annually. Her goal is always to help provide information that helps people work smarter not harder. It’s this goal that brought her to Salus where she puts her IT skills to use, helping us optimize our operations from top to bottom.

Hobbies: Alexandra and her partner (Tim) live in Columbus Ohio with their cats (Alice, Williams, and Elliot). In non-pandemic years, they’re members of a board game social club called Columbus Area Boardgame Society aka CABS. They are also both avid fans of Sci-fi Fantasy books and destinations like Universal Studios for some Happy Potter adventures or Disney for some Star Wars exploration. Now in pandemic years, they’ve picked up kayaking as a way to get out of the house while social distancing. Ohio is home to many reservoirs, lakes, streams, and creeks so they try to explore as many as time allows. She also enjoys everything art related from drawing to quilting and DIY home remodeling projects. Her most recent project? Tinning the ceiling in her home office. Now that’s a useful hobby!
